The Monday Night Concert Series will begin its 21st season in Blowing Rock, NC on June 29th. Concerts are held weekly, beginning June 29th and running through July 27th. The Monday Night Concert Series began as a spin off of the Farm House Inn and Restaurant that was located in Blowing Rock from the 1950's until 1997. The mission of the Monday Night Concert Series is to support rising talent and to share a variety of music with residents and visitors to the town of Blowing Rock in memory of the Farm House and its creators, EJ and Shirl Blackwell.
Matt Primm studied music at both UNC Charlotte and the Hartt School. He is a talented composer, pianist, and viola player and has become a favorite in the park.
Micah Hein is thrilled to be singing with the Monday Night Concert Series again this summer. Originally from Ohio, Micah has performed at various regional theatres across the south and for two years in Seoul, South Korea. He is happy to now call Charlotte home and looks forward to belting out some show tunes for you this Summer!
Krista Wells Atwood has been singing with the MNCS since it's beginnings in 2000. She studied music at ASU and worked at the former Farm House as a singing waitress. She is well known for performing a diverse set of music including musical theatre, country, and popular music.
Andy Page is a High Country favorite. He is a well known jazz musician, but will bring a flavored variety to the park.
Abby Bryant & The Echoes captures the spirit of old soul while emphasizing its youthful energy and fresh songwriting. The Asheville, NC-based band is consistently touring the Southeast to bring its fresh take on soul to a fast-growing fan base. With powerful vocals, tasty guitar licks and a groovy rhythm section, Abby Bryant & The Echoes is a must-see for all ages and musical preferences.
The MNCS is excited to welcome back Federico Eiguchi to Blowing Rock. Federico is well known for his background in singing classic Argentine tango. He is also a professional musical theatre performer and will offer popular and contemporary favorites as well. Federico will perform on July 26th with show originator, Amy Marie.
